Next to Rita Reys and Greetje Kauffeld, singer Ann Burton (1933 - 1989), must be considered as one of the three best pre-war Dutch Jazz-vocalists. Her very  intimate style wasn't only a success in our country, but even more in Japan, where she grew out to be a true Jazz singer. Many of her records (like By Myself Alone and Some Other Spring) are recorded in Japan. There was already a biography of her life published in 1999, written by Anneke Muller: Blue Burton, published by Conserve Schoorl. This book revealed that Ann Burton founded a fund to "stimulate vocal jazz-talent". This made it as possible to organise this demonstration and also to give also new talent an opportunity.

Greetje Kauffeld is always prepaired to give an interview
